On Saturday, January 20th, the 2018 TMEA Region 28 All-Region Band Tryouts took place at Rivera High School. We are pleased to announce that the Vela Band continued it's tradition of excellence by earning 30 chairs in the band, one of the highest numbers in the region. Out of the 30 chairs earned, 5 of our students won the coveted 1st chair position, which was the highest number from any school in the region.
